I love the shoes! But please, please leave the doggie at home. I know exactly how you feel because I'd want the dog with me too, but let this trip be about you & Mt. Morris. You will never regret taking the pet out of the equation on this one. You will be able to focus more on each other without the distraction of the pet that will cause irritation. Then you can get chalupa a special treat when you get home.
