We Won! WE WON!
The activist finds a cause for a law suit, lets say for example, a "false" arrest. With all good intentions for her community, she finds a civil attorney that will take her case for 30% of the award. To fight the case, the city has to hire their own attorney(s)and provide the court time, all at taxpayers expense. A jury from the local community, dreaming of their turn someday and what they would want, find for the activist and award her $1 million to teach the police department a lesson. Lets recap so far. For the activist to get $700k, her attorney takes $300k fron the community and the city is out $1.5 million (the $1 million award plus their cost for lawyers, court costs and time lost by the police in court. Tax time comes and taxes have to be raised to pay the city's cost of the law suit. Lets say that taxes have to be raised about 2%, which does not seem like much. Every taxpayer has to pay a little more, so every landlord and storekeeper has to raise prices, lay someone off or perform a little less maintenance on their property. Rents and prices go up and there are fewer jobs. It gets worse yet! Now, having learned their lesson, the police have to do more to gaurd against law siuts. A lot of people in the community have seen that they could also get rich by suing the city, so more are pushing the limit to try to get the police to make a mistake. Because of this, the police now have to respond an extra officer to each call or traffic stop to watch the others cops to make sure that they don't mess up. This results in slower response times when the public needs the police. More on this in a minute. Back to the activist, her intention to help the community leads her to donate her new found funds to a charity, which keeps between 25% and 80% of their donations to cover their cost of fund raising. For this example we will use 50%. So from her $700k they take $350k out of town. So far, out of $1.5 million cost to the taxpayers, $1.15 milion is gone, police response time has fallen, prices are up and jobs are down. On the bright side, there is $350k to spread around through the charity and the activist has proven her point. But wait, it gets still worse! Some of the local utes(youths) know of the white women who has won her law suit and is flush with cash. In the middle of the night, after midnight, they break in and attempt to get paid. They did not know that she gave all of the money to charity to help their community. They just want to get theirs and when she can't give them what they want, they decide to take some another way. As she screams for help, the neighbors call the police, but the police can not respond until there are 3 officers and a commander available, so the kids have a lot of time to get theirs from the activist. After they are done, they can't leave a witness to their crimes. So long activist. When the police catch the youths, they are tried as adults and sent to prison. Everyone else is tripping over cracks in the sidewalks or provoking the police because they want to get rich the way the activist did. Crime is up, taxes are up, prices are up, jobs are down and anyone that can, flees the city. Of course, the lawyers and fund raisers laugh all of the way to their out to town banks. Well, at least the local people can say that they won! They beat the police, for a change! I hope that Emily hears of and/or reads and understands at least part of this message. We Won! We Won!

A message for Emily Good
Emily Good called police after a break-in at her apartment. After a reported 25 minutes, 7 officers responded to her call. Actually 2 of the officers were there for the call and the rest were there to watch over and supervise the first 2 officers and to serve as witnesses in case they get sued again. While they were tripping all over each other investigating her case, they were not available for the 3 rapes, 18 drug deals, 2 murders and 15 j-walking cases that happened while they were busy. It appears that someone was watching her and knew that she left her apartment. They kicked in her door and took her I-Pod that she used to video tape the traffic stop, but they walked right past other valuables to take it. She has concluded that the police themselves did it for revenge and is going to file yet another law suit (along with the ones for false arrest and harassing her supporters with parking tickets) against the police department and the city. By the time she is done with them, the police will learn their lesson. Of course, by then, the city will be bankrupt, most of the jobs will be gone and the only money coning into the city will be form welfare. Crime will be way up because what is left of the police force is afraid to go outside of the police department due to fear of more law suits. Good work Emily, you stood your ground and taught them a lesson. You have fought for your Rights and won. That is all that really matters, you proved that you were right. Don’t be at all worried about ruining the city for everyone else that lived there, you got yours. They can take care of themselves.

DISAGREE
I dont think they should have dropped the case. She is getting away with obstruction of justice. Then she has the nerve to sit there and complain that it took the cops 25 mins to get to her house when it was broke in to. If I were the cops I would bring a video camera in video tape her in her home as the break in was being investigated. Karma just came payed her a visit....I dislike ppl like her who are the ones who complain about gun control and war but if it was happening in her own back yard she would be the one complaining that no one is helping her...dont feel sorry for her at all.

The Great Enabler
I think it's time that I quit my job so I can go on welfare and enjoy some nice food while looking for ways to get rich by suing someone. This county became great by rewarding those who worked hard. Now there's no reward for hard work. Not when someone on welfare can afford more than you.

SAD SAD DAY
I DONT KNOW WHY PEOPLE ARE SURPRISED THIS HAPPENED. IT'S THE WAY THE COUNTRY IS GOING. THIS THING ( BEST I CAN SAY W/O GETTING CENSORED ) SHOULD BE TAKEN OUT AND ...............

What a shame
Total waste of time and money for someone who should have been arrested for obstruction. Instead the rest of us have to suffer and pay even more taxes, because of some crazy nut case. I hope she is extremely proud of herself.

Enough Already!
I think that Emily Good just wants the attention and unfortunately, she's getting it. I think she is just a rabble rouser and trouble maker. Now she is filing a lawsuit? Doesn't this woman have a job? I think she is lookking for a quick way to make some money, but I hope the suit is thrown out of court. She should mind her own business and let the police do their jobs. I am so tired of hearing about this woman. She's had her 15 minutes of fame, don't give her any more publicity, please!

I Agree
Boy do I agree with all of you! Stupid stupid girl..

You're all wrong.
You all blame a woman who was standing on her own property filming an arrest in her community, which she has every right to do. You blame her for the wrong actions of the COP, the courts and legal system having confirmed that? How about blaming the COP for his stupidity in falsely arresting a taxpayer who was not committing a crime? You want to blame her for your taxes going up and for "seven cops having to be sent out to keep an eye on that one"? How about you fire that one idiot and solve the problem that way? There were other cops there, at the scene, who did nothing stupid and were not threatened by a barefoot tiny woman in her pj's. You want to blame someone for your taxes going up??? Blame the idiot cop that started it! Emily was not about to give up her right (and due to arrest) her freedom for some stupid cops hurt feelings! As a ex military i can tell that not a single one of you has ever put your life on the line for the rights of americans by how quick you are to give up those same rights for nothing. You are a spit on the face to every one of my fellow brothers and sisters that have lost thier lives to give you the right to throw your "rights" away like that! You are a disgrace! EVERY COP THAT ARRESTS A TAX PAYER WITH NO REASON, ESPECIALLY WHEN CONFIRMED BY THE COURTS, SHOULD LOSE THEIR JOB! That simple, you are there to protect...not intimidate, oppress or bully! GOOD LUCK EMILY! Filming a Cop is not a crime in her state.....false arrest and official oppression are! You ALL need to get your facts/priorities straight!
