Nice run, baseball
It happens around this time every year.  Baseball will get my attention as the playoffs begin.  Now, I'm a Cubs fan so usually I don't have a rooting interest in any team in the post-season.  I will say though, that I was really pulling for a Philly/Yankees series.  Well, Yankees were bounced Thursday night.  Phillies on Friday.  Given the four remaining teams, my interest couldn't be lower.  Let's talk about the REAL national pastime...

All Pink Everything
October is national breast cancer awareness month.  A time that stresses the importance of getting checked and preventing this horrible disease that has affected most of us in some way, shape, or form.  For the past few years, the NFL has shown support for the cause by having players incorporate pink into their gear.  Pink cleats.  Pink towels.  Pink gloves.  Pink face masks.  Pink logos.  Pink ribbons on the field.  You get the idea.  Which is why I was FLOORED when I saw a user in my Twitter feed complaining that there wasn't enough pink in this, the second week of the annual campaign.  I'm not sure what NFL policy is and whether or not it's mandatory for players to use pink gear, but to say there isn't enough pink out there outrages me.  IT'S EVERYWHERE.  It's as if the calendar flips to 10/1 and we as a nation PINK ALL THE THINGS! Is awareness really going to decrease if an NFL team says they want to scale back?  At this point, I think we're aware.  Isn't that the point of the campaign in the first place?

Way to go, Minnesota!
I grew up in Minnesota and have nothing but love for "The Land of 10,000 Lakes".  Well now, Minnesota can claim more than just it's over abundance of outdoor recreational activities as a reason to show pride (Kidding. Those lakes are frozen 10 months out of the year).  Now, Minnesota can say they are home to the WNBA Champions!  I personally can't watch the WNBA because having an erection for that lengthy amount of time is really uncomfortable.  But I'm sure all Minnesotans will hold their heads high as they raise that prestigious WNBA Championship banner to the rafters.  I don't even want to think about how rowdy that parade is going to be!

Someone get on this
There's a lot of sports happening here on today's BuzzFeed.  Let's talk quickly about something else I am passionate about...drinking.  Someone needs to mass produce these asap.  Thank me when you've made your millions.

You sank my liver!
